Accessibility statement

• Text colours are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio against the backgrounds they sit on. An automated test checks every ratio before each release.
• Pages work on a screen 390 pixels wide, the width of a small phone, without scrolling sideways.
• Pages still work with the browser zoomed to 200%.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, movement is removed. If it is set to reduce transparency, see-through panels become solid.

• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall on a phone, so they are easy to tap.
• Staff pages open with a link to skip straight to the content. Links, buttons and form fields show a visible outline when they have keyboard focus.

Every chart carries a written description that a screen reader reads in place of the drawing. Each chart in a report sits beside a sentence or caption that states what it shows.

• Each answer is a button. Move between answers with the Tab key and choose one with Enter or Space.
• Nothing moves on until the student presses Continue. Back returns to the previous question with the answer kept.
• Each question needs an answer before Continue moves on. Only a question answered in the student's own words can be passed over, with the Skip this question button.
• On each new question, focus moves to the question, and a screen reader reads which question it is and how many there are.
• Whether an answer has saved, and any error, is read out by a screen reader as it happens.

• The service is in English only. The survey and the reports are not yet available in other languages.
• There is no right-to-left layout yet, for languages such as Arabic or Hebrew.
